I’m Lauren.

I live in a little mid-century style house on the edge of the Lake District with my husband and our cheeky Jack Russel. I’m a retro fashion enthusiast, animal welfare champion, craft lover and keen home cook.

I’ve been obsessed with food for as long as I can remember. I cherish childhood memories of baking with my Nana and creating a makeshift café for imaginary customers in her tiny kitchen. Even at a young age I enjoyed flicking through the pages of cookbooks, copying dishes I’d seen on TV and making up recipes of my own.

Life has a habit of getting in the way but after turning the big 3-0, I built up the courage to pursue my passion. I purchased a domain name, designed a website and started sharing my creations online. It’s been exciting and exhausting in equal measures, especially alongside my full-time job. Fitting a side hussle in to a packed schedule seems impossible sometimes but the evenings and weekends spent in the kitchen nourish my soul.
